Try drawing some small sets of lines and coloring their regions, to get a sense of what's going on. The choice of lines does not matter, as long as they are in general position.
Now, try adding an extra line to one of your drawings. How can you modify the regions near the new line, to make adjacent regions have different colors? Can you extend this idea to the rest of your drawing?
